ugh I just don't know what to do

I am at my whits end. I really really want to ween taylar off of the binki (for heaven's sake she can say the word) but I can't seem to do it. Today I laid her down for her nap and she sat and talked to herself for almost 2 hours, not cried, just talked. Then I went in there and she sat up and said "mommy....binki" so I relented and gave in and then she said "nigh night" and went right to sleep. I just don't know what to do. I don't want her to have it but I don't know how to get her not to take it, she won't take a nap without it. Do I just let her not take a nap? and get over it for a few days, should I just throw them away and just let her deal? I kist don't want her to get to the point that she gets so over tired because when that happens she ends up getting night terrors that last for almost an hour!! If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I can tell you one thing, the next kid, NO BINKI, lol.

In my opinion, and perhaps it is cruel, but just take it away. Make sure Joey is there to help with whatever may come, and tell him he has to just deal with it!!!! LOL! Anyway, it will be tough for a few days, but once you get past that hump it should be smooth sailing. Hopefully...better now than when she is 3 and still fighting for it you know! I've noticed that with Caitlyn if I do things a few times in a row - consistency - it seems like the norm for her. I dunno, every child is so different, you'll probably just have to try different things....OK so I don't think any of this really helped at all!!!!
