Sometime's Life's not such a Hoot

My poor child is so sick today. I'm in tears right not because she's so sick and I have to leave her to go to work. I love my job, I love working for my aunt she's the best boss I could ask for, but the only problem with working somewhere where there are such a small amount of employees is that you can't call in. I wouldn't call in because I won't do that to my aunt, ever, especially with all the work she does!!!! It's just hard because there was only one person I could get to take my shift tonight and he has plans. I know she will be fine and her grandma will take care of her, I'm just really upset that I can't. I was talking to my mom and I think Karma is bullcrap. I am not the type of person who likes to pat themselves on the back or brag about helping people, thats just what I feel I should do, especially with family, but it sucks because I swear Karma never helps me out in return. I am constantly helping my brother, my mom, other people, and I try to go out of my way to make sure other people are taken well care of. It just sucks. Anyway I'm done ranting, sorry...

edit: okay so I know I am way over dramatic etc and Taylar was fine tonight, but when I got home from work she had been awake for a half hour because she had thrown up all over her bed. Joey took her temperature and it was at 102.something. My poor little girl i am just heart broken because I don't know what to do for her. She just wanted me to cuddle her.

Oh Heather! How awful, I am so sorry. Sometimes with those colds all you can do is cuddle them. I hate it when my baby girl is ill, so tough. I spent about two nights on the couch outside her room; I just felt so guilty about being all snuggled in my bed whilest she was coughing her lungs out and had a temperature. Just keep praying for strength, both of you get a blessing, and remember that it will soon pass. Good luck! Wish there was something I could do...

Hey, one more thing, when Caitlyn had her cold I had Curtis pick up a can of Lysol and I sprayed down everything, washed Caitlyn's bedding every morning, and had her wash her hands every two hours. I know, I sound crazy, but within a day I noticed a HUGE difference. And in a day and a 1/2 her cough was gone. I just kept thinking, gosh she is just breathing in all those germs over and over again, I even lightly sprayed her pillow and mattress when I had the sheets and pillow case off. I called and told Liss to do the same thing for Mae, since she has been sick since like November. I mentioned to her to spray down Mae's car seat too. And Mae is a ton better. I dunno, it's worth a try! Also, I had Curtis change our furnace filters when Caitlyn felt better. Just some ideas!

thanks Aubrey, good advice. I think I'll do that today actually. She seems to be doing a little better thank heavens, not 100% yet though.
