Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Another year and new adventures still to be had. I'm very excited for this year and what it might hold for my family. 2008 was a busy year. We had a few changes, some excitement, some sadness, and a lot of fun.

I haven't completely decided on all my new year's resolutions are yet.

--I do know that I want to potty train Taylar. Thats one of them. She's pretty good about actually going once she gets on, which is good.

--I know I want to be a better mom. I want to spend more quality one on one time with Taylar and not put her in front of the TV as much. I want to spend more time doing crafts with her and doing more educational things.

--I want to be a better housewife. I want to keep my house up as much as possible and get it in the shape and decorated more the way I want.

--I want to spend more quality time with Joey. I know with money and kids its not easy to have date night once a week, especially with work schedules etc. So I'm hoping for every other week, if not every week. Even if its just staying home the two of us with taylar on a playdate somewhere.

--I want to cook more. I really want to try and stick with my menu system that I used to do. I want to try and shoot for 5 home cooked meals a week.

--I want to start going to the gym again more. I want to try and go 3-4 days a week and start eating healthier. I also really want to cut out caffiene and cut down on sweets.

--Also on top of all of these other things I want to try and learn a new trait. I haven't decided what it is yet though. Maybe I'll learn to knit like my mother-in-law is trying to do, or maybe it will be something different, I haven't decided.

Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish some of these goals. I want to go set some goals and give myself a deadline. I know I should do this with Taylar's potty training, but I also know that isn't entirely dependant on me.

Hopefully I'll be able to do these things.
