Can Only the Rich Afford to Eat Healthy??

so I went to the store tonight to get stuff for my meals I planned for tomorrow (see I planned a whole week of healthy meals for all 3 meals). I got up to the register and my bill was $70.00!!! That's ridiculous. No wonder Americans are so fat, we can't afford to eat the healthy natural food because it's over the top expensive so we have to eat the fatty processed crap. This was for 3 meals only!! So of course now I'm going to re-do my menu for the week, AND I'm going to try and spread these meals over a couple days. I know I can do atleast 2 of the meals 2 days in a row if not 3, but dinner I will probably have to change. Ugh I'm irritated. In fact read this article, it makes me even more upset:

P.S. That article was really interesting! It's all supply and demand! Those "organic" foods and such (which by the way, my research tells me only a very small part of those products have to be organic for them to put that label on the front) are out of this world expensive. I can not believe it. I think that it really just all comes down the basic principles of the Word of Wisdom ::{MODERATION IN ALL THINGS}:: I mean, all we need to do is eat more fruit and veggies, cut back on the meats and carbs, not eliminate them, just cut back, and work in a few snacks. All things in moderation. Get that exercise we all need, even if it's a 20 minute walk to the library, grocery store, whatever! All things in moderation. I just hate all these fad diets, which is why I think that Weight Watchers is awesome, it is.....shall I say it again? Moderation in all things! Anyway, Heather you can do it! Don't sweat it! Making a two week meal plan was the best thing I ever did. You buy what you need, add a few in between snacks, and come in a little under your grocery budget, and you are set, helps a ton! I haven't lost a ton of weight, but I have noticed my pants are a little more loose, and I can actually button those babies up! Okay, long P.S., by now!

Oh my gosh! I ran into the same problem! Healthy food is way to expensive, I agree.
